I like teaching this pose because most anyone can get into it, it looks really cool, and I think it gives the students a feeling of accomplishment to do such a neat pose. It’s actually quite easy once you get the hang. Yesterday I was subbing a mixed level and had all 12 yogis in the pose (hey, a split second in the pose is still in the pose). I teach this at the end of a seated sequence. Hold the twist for a while to let the body relax into the position, start pushing toward upright with your back hand. Chaturanga arm for the set arm (that means leaning forward, elbow closer to 90deg.); pull the extended foot towards you, press up.
